How to Get Your Dollar Tree W2 Form Online (2026)

Unlike Dollar General, which is migrating from DGME to Workvivo and runs Doculivery alongside it, Dollar Tree spreads its W2 access across 6+ portal systems (Compass Mobile, MyInfo, myTree, myCareer, Doculivery, plus the Associate Information Center hub). That fragmentation is the single biggest reason Dollar Tree associates struggle to find their W2 every January.

Here’s the comparison with Dollar General plus what to do and what not to do at Dollar Tree.

How Dollar Tree compares to Dollar General

Both companies use Doculivery for W2 delivery, both use the same Speak Up provider, and both have lean staffing that slows down former-employee support. The big difference is Dollar Tree’s portal fragmentation.

Do this

  • Do start at Compass Mobile. Go to compassmobile.dollartree.com. Sign in with your associate credentials. Compass Mobile is the entry point for most other Dollar Tree systems, including the W2.
  • Do navigate to the Associate Information Center. From Compass Mobile, the Associate Information Center is the hub that links to MyInfo (payroll), myTree (benefits), myCareer (development), and Doculivery (W2s and pay stubs).
  • Do access your W2 through Doculivery. Once inside the Associate Information Center, click the Doculivery link. Sign in if prompted (Doculivery sometimes requires a separate sign-in even after Compass Mobile authentication). Navigate to Tax Documents or W2 and download the current year’s form.
  • Do save the PDF immediately. Download to your personal device, not your work computer. If you separate from Dollar Tree before next tax season, portal access can disappear.
  • Do update your address before separation. If you’re planning to leave, update your address in MyInfo so the paper W2 mails correctly. Paper W2s mail by January 31 to whatever address is on file when the form is generated.
  • Do call the Speak Up Line at 1-888-835-5792 if you can’t access the portal. The Speak Up Line handles a range of associate issues including W2 retrieval support.
  • Do check the Family Dollar side. If you worked at Family Dollar (which Dollar Tree owns), your W2 is still issued under Dollar Tree corporate. You should get one consolidated W2, not separate ones for Family Dollar and Dollar Tree work.

Don’t do this

  • Don’t try to find the W2 through MyInfo alone. MyInfo handles payroll information but the W2 specifically lives in Doculivery. Going to MyInfo and trying to find the W2 there will waste your time.
  • Don’t try to bypass Compass Mobile and go directly to Doculivery. The Doculivery URL is sometimes accessible directly, but authentication often fails without the Compass Mobile session. Use Compass Mobile as the entry point.
  • Don’t trust the default first-time password if you’ve never changed it. Dollar Tree assigns a default first-time password (varies by associate). If you’ve been with Dollar Tree for any length of time and you’ve never changed your password, it may have been auto-rotated or your account flagged. Use the self-service reset.
  • Don’t wait until April to chase a missing W2. Dollar Tree’s lean staffing means support response times are slow during tax season. Start chasing by February 10 if your form hasn’t arrived.
  • Don’t click links in suspicious emails about your W2. Phishing targeting Dollar Tree employees during tax season is common. Type the URL directly: compassmobile.dollartree.com or contact your store directly for the right link.
  • Don’t assume your former store can help you if you’ve already separated. Dollar Tree’s high turnover means the people who knew you at your old store may not be there anymore. Go through the Speak Up Line or corporate HR instead.

The 6+ portal problem in practice

If you’re confused about which Dollar Tree system does what:

SystemPurpose
Compass MobileEntry point. Schedules, pay, news.
Associate Information CenterHub linking to all other systems.
MyInfoPayroll details, pay stubs.
myTreeBenefits (health, 401(k), enrollment).
myCareerCareer development and training.
DoculiveryW2s, pay stubs (alternative path), direct deposit, year-end forms.

For W2 retrieval specifically, your path is Compass Mobile > Associate Information Center > Doculivery > Tax Documents.

Timeline

  • January 15-25: W2s post in Doculivery.
  • January 31: IRS deadline. Paper W2s mailed.
  • February 1-10: Paper W2s arrive.
  • February 10+: Treat as missing if nothing has arrived.
  • Mid-February: IRS Wage and Income Transcript becomes available.
  • April 15: Tax filing deadline.

If you’re a former employee

Portal access at Dollar Tree gets revoked at separation, similar to Dollar General. Your paths:

  1. Call the Speak Up Line at 1-888-835-5792. Provide your name, last 4 SSN, dates of employment, and store/banner you worked at.
  2. Request a W2 reissue to your current address if the paper copy went to a stale address.
  3. Request an IRS Wage and Income Transcript at irs.gov if HR is too slow. Free, available by mid-February, shows the same income data.
  4. File Form 4852 as a W2 substitute using your final pay stub. Last resort.

Dollar Tree vs Family Dollar specific notes

Dollar Tree owns Family Dollar. Both brands use the same payroll and HR backbone. So:

  • If you worked at Family Dollar, your portal credentials and W2 retrieval process are the same as Dollar Tree employees’.
  • You should receive one consolidated W2 from Dollar Tree corporate, not separate ones.
  • Your employee benefits are administered through the same Dollar Tree systems.

If you transferred between Family Dollar and Dollar Tree during the year, the W2 reflects total wages from both.

Common issues at Dollar Tree

I can sign into Compass Mobile but Doculivery rejects my credentials.

The two systems sometimes require separate sign-ins despite being linked. Try entering your credentials again at the Doculivery prompt. If still failing, contact your store manager for credential verification.

My account says it’s locked.

Multiple failed login attempts within a short window can trigger lockout. Wait 24 hours and try again. If still locked, call the Speak Up Line.

I see prior year W2s but not the current year.

Check the tax year selector in Doculivery. The default sometimes shows prior years. Switch to the current year manually.

My address on the W2 is wrong.

The wage and tax data is what matters for filing. Wrong address doesn’t invalidate the W2. Update your address for future correspondence.

A few Dollar Tree-specific notes

The late 2025 system migration moved some functions between portals. If you’ve been with Dollar Tree for years and you remember the old layout, the current layout is different. Look for the Associate Information Center first; it’s the new central hub.

For more on Dollar Tree portal navigation, see the Dollar Tree login portals page and the full Dollar Tree W2 forms page. For former employees, the Dollar Tree W2 for former employees guide walks through the Speak Up Line escalation path.

For box-by-box help with the form once you have it, see the W2 box-by-box guide.

The fastest path through Dollar Tree’s portal maze: Compass Mobile to Associate Information Center to Doculivery. Skip the other systems for W2 retrieval. If you’re stuck, the Speak Up Line is faster than your store manager for separated employees.
