Target Employee Logins
Published:
Target team members log in through MyTime for Target for scheduling and Workday for pay, benefits, and HR tasks. Your TEID (Target Employee ID) is the key to both. Here’s exactly how each system works.
Quick Reference
MyTime for Target → mytime.target.com → Schedules, time tracking, shift swaps Workday → wd5.myworkday.com/target → Pay stubs, W-2s, benefits, HR self-service Paperless Employee → paperlessemployee.com/target → W-2s and tax forms (current + former) DailyPay → Earned wage access (up to 50% before payday) PerkSpot → 10,000+ partner discounts (added 2025) HR Contact → 1-800-394-1885
How Do I Log In to MyTime for Target?
URL: mytime.target.com (also available as the MyTime app on iOS and Android)
Go to mytime.target.com and enter your TEID and password. Your TEID is the numeric ID you received during orientation. It’s printed on your badge and appears on your pay stubs. If you’ve forgotten it, your HR lead at the store can look it up.
MyTime connects to Workday on the back end, but they’re separate login experiences. When MyTime needs to pull payroll data, it talks to Workday automatically. You don’t need to log into Workday separately just to check your schedule.
The MyTime app gives you the same access from your phone. Download it, sign in with your TEID, and you can check your schedule, request time off, and swap shifts from anywhere. Push notifications alert you when your schedule is posted or when a swap request is approved.
How Do I Access Workday?
URL: wd5.myworkday.com/target
Workday is Target’s HR backend. This is where you manage anything related to money and employment records: pay stubs, tax withholdings, W-2 forms, benefits enrollment, direct deposit, personal information updates, and career development tools.
To log in, go to the URL above and enter your TEID and password. The interface can feel overwhelming the first time — it’s a full enterprise HR system, not a simple employee app. But the things you’ll use most are under a few menus:
Pay: Pay stubs, tax documents (including W-2s), and direct deposit settings sit under the Pay section. Target’s employee discount enrollment also connects through Workday.
Benefits: Open enrollment, plan details, life events (marriage, new child, etc.), and benefits changes are here. Target offers health insurance to team members working as few as 25 hours per week, which is lower than most retailers.
Time Off: You can view your PTO accrual balances and request time off through Workday. Some team members also do this through MyTime. Both routes work.
What Is Paperless Employee?
URL: paperlessemployee.com/target
Paperless Employee is a third-party platform that stores tax documents — W-2s, ACA forms, and year-end pay statements. Both current and former Target team members can access it.
This is the portal that matters most if you’ve left Target. Unlike Workday (which gets locked after separation), Paperless Employee stays accessible. You’ll need to create an account using your Social Security number and date of birth for verification. Once you’re in, navigate to Year-End Statements to find your W-2.
If you’re a current team member, you can access your W-2 through either Workday or Paperless Employee. Both show the same document. Many team members prefer Paperless Employee because it’s simpler no navigating Workday’s menu structure.
What About DailyPay?
DailyPay is Target’s earned wage access program. It lets you access up to 50% of the wages you’ve already earned before your regular payday. Transfers are available to a bank account, a DailyPay card, or a payroll card.
DailyPay has its own login — it’s not part of MyTime or Workday. You enroll through a link provided during onboarding or through your store’s HR office. Once enrolled, you sign in at dailypay.com or through the DailyPay app with the account you created during setup.
There’s a small fee per on-demand transfer (usually around $2.99 for instant, free for next-day). Not every team member uses it, but it’s there for anyone who needs flexibility between pay cycles.
What Happens When I Leave Target?
Your MyTime and Workday access will be deactivated after your last day. The timeline varies — some team members report losing access within 24 hours, while others retain it for up to a week. Don’t count on having access after your final shift.
Before your last day, do these things:
Download or screenshot your recent pay stubs from Workday. Print your most recent schedule from MyTime if you need it for records. Make sure your mailing address is current in Workday — Target mails paper W-2s by January 31 to whatever address they have on file.
After you leave:
Use Paperless Employee (paperlessemployee.com/target) for W-2 access. This is the one portal that still works after separation. If you never registered for Paperless Employee while employed, you can create an account as a former team member using identity verification.
For other questions, call Target HR at 1-800-394-1885. The ethics hotline at 1-800-541-6838 handles concerns about workplace conduct or policy violations, which you can still report after leaving.
PerkSpot: Target’s Discount Platform
Target launched PerkSpot in 2025, giving team members access to 10,000+ partner discounts on everything from cell phone plans to travel to dining. It’s separate from your standard Target team member discount (10% off most merchandise, 20% off wellness items).
Access PerkSpot through Workday or through a direct link provided by your store. You’ll need to verify your employment to activate your account.
Troubleshooting Login Issues
“My TEID doesn’t work.” Double-check the number on your badge. TEIDs are numeric only — no letters. If you’re entering it correctly and it still fails, your account may be locked due to too many failed attempts. Call 1-800-394-1885 to unlock it.
“I can’t access Workday from home.” Workday works on any internet connection — there’s no VPN requirement and no in-store-only restriction (unlike some retailers). If it’s not loading, try a different browser or clear your cache.
“MyTime shows the wrong schedule.” This happens occasionally after schedule edits or swap approvals. Wait a few minutes and refresh. If the error persists, screenshot what you see and show your team lead — they can verify in the system on their end.
