Kohl’s HR Contact

The Kohl’s HR phone number is 844-564-5747. The corporate line is 262-703-7000. The employee portal is MyHR Kohl’s at myhr.kohls.com, and your login uses a 7-digit Associate Code. Those four pieces of information cover about 90% of what Kohl’s employees need. The rest depends on your specific situation.

Everything below dives deeper into each of these.

The MyHR portal: what it does and does not handle

MyHR Kohl’s at myhr.kohls.com is your primary self-service tool. It handles pay stubs, W-2 access, benefits enrollment, personal information updates, direct deposit changes, and tax withholding adjustments. Log in with your 7-digit Associate Code and password.

You can also reach MyHR by going to kohls.com and scrolling to the bottom of the page, where you will find an Associate Services link. Both paths lead to the same system.

Heads up: MyHR handles self-service tasks, but it is not a substitute for talking to someone. Benefits disputes, payroll errors that need manual correction, and escalated workplace concerns still require a phone call to 844-564-5747 or a conversation with your store’s HR lead.

What MyHR does not handle: scheduling is managed at the store level by your manager. If your schedule is wrong or you need a shift swap, that goes through your direct supervisor, not through the portal.

Calling 844-564-5747: what to expect

The 844-564-5747 line is Kohl’s main HR support number. It handles payroll questions, benefits enrollment issues, leave of absence requests, COBRA, and general employment support. Have your Associate Code and store number ready.

Tip: Wait times are shortest mid-week between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Central time. Avoid calling on Mondays, paydays, and during the first two weeks of January when W-2 requests spike.

This number works for both current and former associates, though former employees may face longer verification steps. The rep will ask for your Social Security number and date of birth if your Associate Code is no longer in the system.

The corporate number at 262-703-7000 (Menomonee Falls, WI headquarters) is for corporate-level inquiries, not routine associate HR questions. Do not call this for payroll or benefits issues.

Former associates: the blue tile

After leaving Kohl’s, your standard MyHR access is deactivated. Getting your Kohl’s W-2 requires using the former associate path:

Go to myhr.kohls.com and look for the blue tile labeled “Former Associate Login and W-2 Instructions.” This tile is on the main login page, not buried in a submenu. Click it and follow the verification steps using your Associate Code, Social Security number, and date of birth.

Warning: The blue tile is the most common source of confusion for former Kohl’s employees. Many people do not notice it on the login page and assume they are completely locked out. Look for it specifically before calling HR.

If the blue tile path does not work, H&R Block is an alternative for associates who enrolled in that service during employment. Otherwise, call 844-564-5747 and request a paper W-2 be mailed to your current address.

Paper W-2s are automatically sent to your last address on file by January 31. If you moved after leaving and did not update your address, calling 844-564-5747 to request a reissue is your next step.

Seasonal and part-time associates

Kohl’s hires heavily for seasonal periods, and many of those associates have questions about their status once the season ends. A few things to know:

Tip for seasonal workers: Download your pay stubs and tax documents from MyHR while you still have active access. Portal deactivation after separation can happen quickly, and getting your W-2 through the blue tile is doable but slower.

Seasonal associates who want to continue working should tell their store manager before the season ends. Kohl’s does rehire former seasonal workers, but it is not guaranteed and depends on your store’s staffing needs.

If your hours dropped to zero without a formal conversation about your status, check MyHR to see if you are still listed as active. If your access is gone, you were likely separated. Contact 844-564-5747 to confirm your employment status and ask about the timeline for your final paycheck. State rules on final paycheck laws vary, so knowing your state’s deadline matters.

Benefits and the Kohl’s discount

Benefits enrollment and changes go through MyHR. Kohl’s offers health insurance, a 401(k), and the 15% employee discount that stacks with Kohl’s Cash and coupons for an effective savings of 30% or more.

Heads up: Your employee discount is separate from your Kohl’s credit card rewards. Both exist, both stack, and questions about the employee discount go through MyHR or your store HR lead. Kohl’s Cash and credit card questions go through customer service, not employee HR.

Questions about Kohl’s PTO accrual, usage, and payout should be directed to your store manager first, then to 844-564-5747 if the store-level answer is unclear.

For post-separation benefits questions, including COBRA and what happens to your benefits after leaving Kohl’s, call 844-564-5747 and ask for the benefits team.

Escalating a workplace issue

Most problems start and end with your store manager or store HR lead. Scheduling conflicts, minor policy questions, and interpersonal disputes are typically handled at this level.

When that is not enough, or when the issue involves your manager directly, call 844-564-5747 and ask for associate relations. Be prepared with:

Your Associate Code, the dates and details of the issue, what steps you have already taken at the store level, and what outcome you are looking for. Having this organized before calling speeds up the process and gives the rep enough information to route your concern correctly.

For serious concerns (harassment, discrimination, retaliation, safety hazards), request associate relations specifically. Your concern will be handled by a team outside your store’s management chain.

A note for Sephora and Amazon returns associates

Kohl’s has rolled out Sephora shop-in-shops in over 600 locations and processes Amazon returns in every store. If you work in the Sephora section or handle Amazon returns, your HR contacts are the same as any other Kohl’s associate. You are a Kohl’s employee, not a Sephora or Amazon employee.

Heads up: Benefits, pay, scheduling, and workplace issues all go through Kohl’s HR, not through Sephora or Amazon. If a customer asks you a Sephora product question you cannot answer, that is a training issue to raise with your store manager. But your paycheck, your PTO, and your benefits are all Kohl’s.

Getting through to HR faster

Call volume at 844-564-5747 spikes during the first two weeks of January (W-2 season), during open enrollment, and on the Monday after any major holiday weekend. Mid-week mornings are the most reliable window for shorter hold times.

Before calling, have your Associate Code, store number, and a clear description of the issue ready. If your question involves a pay discrepancy, pull up the pay stub in MyHR first so you can reference specific dates and amounts.
