How to Get Your Lowe’s W2 Form Online (2026 Guide)

Most Lowe’s associates don’t realize their former-employee W2 portal is run by the same company that runs Walmart’s: Equifax Workforce Solutions, at mytaxform.com. Different employer code (Lowe’s is 11116, Walmart is 10108), same platform. If you’ve used Equifax for a previous employer, you can sign back into the same account and add Lowe’s. That single fact saves former associates hours of frustration every January.

Here’s the deadline calendar for getting your W2, whether you’re current or former.

Mid-January: W2 posts in MyLowesLife

Lowe’s typically posts current associates’ W2s in MyLowesLife between January 15 and January 25. The exact date shifts year to year.

To check whether yours is ready:

  1. Go to myloweslife.com from any device.
  2. Sign in with your Sales Number and password.
  3. Click My Wealth.
  4. Select Payroll Services.
  5. Navigate to W-2 Services and pick the current tax year.

If you don’t see the W2 by January 20, that’s still within the normal window. By January 28, it should be there. By February 1 with nothing, escalate.

Mid-January: Equifax/mytaxform.com posts W2s for former associates

The mytaxform.com site (Equifax Workforce Solutions) typically posts W2s for former Lowe’s associates around the same time, between January 15 and January 25.

To access:

  1. Go to mytaxform.com.
  2. When prompted for an employer code, enter 11116.
  3. Verify your identity with your Social Security Number, date of birth, and your Sales Number if you remember it.
  4. Create an account if you haven’t used the site before.
  5. Download or print the W2.

If you’ve previously used mytaxform.com for Walmart or another employer that uses Equifax, you can sign in with the same account and add Lowe’s by entering code 11116.

January 31: IRS deadline

By this date, Lowe’s must have either posted your W2 electronically or mailed a paper copy to your last known address.

  • If you opted into electronic delivery: it’s in MyLowesLife or mytaxform.com only. No paper copy.
  • If you didn’t opt in: a paper copy mails to your address on file by January 31.

Update your address before separation if you’re leaving Lowe’s. The W2 mails to whatever’s on file when the form is generated, not your last day worked.

Early February: Paper copies arrive

Paper W2s typically arrive between February 1 and February 10, depending on your location. If you opted into electronic delivery, you won’t get one in the mail.

February 10: Treat as missing if nothing has arrived

If you don’t see a W2 in your portal and a paper copy hasn’t arrived by this date, escalate. Don’t wait until late March.

Escalation steps:

  1. Verify the portal access. Try mytaxform.com with code 11116 if you’re former. Try MyLowesLife if you’re current.
  2. Confirm your address on file was correct when the W2 was generated.
  3. Call Lowe’s HR. The HR portal at corporate.lowes.com/my-hr has the current contact information. For former associates, the dedicated HR line for separated employees handles W2 reissue.
  4. Request a reissue if the paper copy went to a wrong address. Reissues typically take 7 to 14 business days.

Mid-February: IRS transcript becomes available

If portal and HR routes have failed:

  1. Request an IRS Wage and Income Transcript at irs.gov. Free, available by mid-February, shows the same income data your W2 would.
  2. File Form 4852 as a W2 substitute using your final pay stub.
  3. File an extension (Form 4868) to push your filing deadline to October if you’re running out of time.

April 15: Tax filing deadline

If you haven’t filed by this date, file an extension. Don’t file with incorrect numbers just to meet the deadline. The IRS treats wage errors seriously, and amending a return later is more work than filing an extension now.

How MyLowesLife vs mytaxform.com differ

These two systems serve very different audiences but they look similar because they both have the W2 retrieval function.

Login credentialSales Number + passwordSSN + DOB + Sales Number
Run byLowe’sEquifax Workforce Solutions
Other employer accessNoYes (multi-employer account)

The most important practical difference: mytaxform.com is your access path forever, even years after leaving Lowe’s. If you worked at Lowe’s in 2018, your W2 from that year is probably still retrievable through Equifax/mytaxform.com.

Common issues and quick fixes

“I forgot my Sales Number.”

The Sales Number is your Lowe’s employee ID. It’s on every pay stub, your old badge, and any HR documentation. If you genuinely have no record, call HR with your full name, SSN, and dates of employment.

“mytaxform.com keeps rejecting my identity.”

Verification is strict. Make sure your SSN matches exactly (no dashes), your DOB matches Lowe’s record (sometimes the year on file is slightly off due to data entry), and your name matches the spelling Lowe’s used. If you’ve changed your last name since leaving, you may need to enter your former name.

“I see last year’s W2 but not this year’s.”

Check the tax year selector in the dropdown. The default sometimes shows prior years. Click into the current year.

“My W2 wages don’t match my expectations.”

Pre-tax contributions (401(k), pre-tax health insurance, FSA, HSA) reduce Box 1 wages relative to your gross pay. This is normal. If the difference is too large to explain, contact HR for a W2-C (corrected W2).

“I had an ESPP purchase at Lowe’s. Where’s that on my W2?”

The ESPP doesn’t typically appear on your W2 directly. You’ll receive a separate Form 3922 for ESPP purchases. The tax implications kick in when you sell the shares, not when you buy them.

“I worked at Lowe’s and another retailer this year.”

You’ll receive separate W2s from each employer. Make sure you have both before filing.

Lowe’s-specific notes

The shift from Workday (used during onboarding for new hires) to MyLowesLife happens within the first few weeks of employment. This two-portal sequence confuses new associates who try to find their W2 in Workday after their first January. Workday is for onboarding only at Lowe’s. Payroll and W2 access is in MyLowesLife once you’re past the onboarding period.

Lowe’s runs its 401(k) through Wells Fargo (now branded under Principal/Wells), separate from MyLowesLife. If you’re trying to access 401(k) documents at year-end, those come through the plan provider, not MyLowesLife.

For the full breakdown of Lowe’s W2 access including identity verification troubleshooting and former-associate paths, see the Lowe’s W2 forms page and the Lowe’s W2 for former employees guide. For navigating the broader portal landscape (MyLowesLife, Workday, LowesNet), see the Lowe’s login portals page.

For box-by-box help with the form itself, the W2 box-by-box guide walks through every line in plain English.

The fastest path through any Lowe’s W2 problem: if you’re former, use mytaxform.com with code 11116 first. If you’re current, use MyLowesLife. Most issues trace back to one of those two and a stale address on file.
